bundle, as I do not feel that it would positively benefit your, or other's work at this time. So much lag, in fact, that I cannot post the Autoloader. I generally use the DocumentLockModeChanged Event for such tasks, but this event is raised _after_ user is allowed to begin the 'drag move', which is what I believe to be causing the problem. Normally not an issue, at least that I am aware of, but in this particular instance, Veto()-ing the DROPGEOM Command when the DocumentLockModeChanged Event is raised, while successful, produces a significant lag when undoing the transient graphics creation before the drawing again becomes available for production. That said, it does exactly what it was intended to do, but suffers an unfortunate benefit of how Autodesk implemented the DROPGEOM Command that is to say that when you 'drag move' Object(s), transient graphics are used to visually depict the jig prior to being placed in the new location. I just wrote an Autoloader app, which implemented a new custom DROPGEOMMODE system variable, such that when "ON" the DROPGEOM Command functions normally, and when "OFF" the DROPGEOM Command is Veto()-ed here's an unrelated example of Veto()-ing a Command, if not already familiar with the particulars. I do not necessarily disagree that Autodesk should provide a toggle for this. (does it only work in 16?)Īt a minimum, if the ability to disable already exists, then I would request that it be disbabled by default upon install. There are AUGI post that say this wish has been granted but I do not see anyway to do it. It introduces a chance to easily move linework and xrefs that you have no intention of moving, thus increasing the chance of a cascading error or drawing corruption. Summary: Ability to disable DropGEOM command for Drag and Drop of linework and xrefsĭescription: This functionality is completely worthless in an environment where everything need to be moved accurately, as is the case with most Civil3D projects.
